As announced shortly before the summer, the transition period for the electric car premium is ending. From 1 October, the maximum state subsidy will reach €6,000, compared to €8,000 previously.
The amount of the bonus will be scaled as follows for all orders for 100% electric vehicles from October 1, 2024:
Used electric cars over 3 years old will also benefit from a €1,500 bonus.
These measures apply to vehicles ordered between October 1, 2024 and June 30, 2026, subject to a minimum ownership period of 36 months. The first entry into service must take place no later than 30 June 2027, and remains subject to finalization of the legislative and regulatory procedures*.

Currently, the benefit in kind is taxed at a flat rate of 0.5% (for consumption ≤ 18 kWh/100km) and 0.6% (for consumption > 18 kWh/100km).
From January 1, 2025 (order date and registration date), the benefit in kind will be taxed at a flat rate of 1% (for consumption ≤ 18 kWh/100km) to 1.2% (for consumption > 18 kWh/100km) for 100% electric cars, and 2% for other types of combustion engines.
